YEAR 2009 Staff

Bob Di Bernardo (Coach "D") - Camp Director. Owner of Shootingstar Softball and Head Varsity Softball coach for 18 years. Bob has been named Coach of the Year 4 times and his career record stands at 380-99. His teams have won 12 league titles, 3 county championships, 5 state sectional championships and one state championship. In 1991, he coached Ramsey High School to the Group III State Champioship while claiming the No. 1 ranking in New Jersey with a record of 32-0. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)

Caroline Manzi-Rehm - A vice principal/Varsity Softball Coach and University of North Florida graduate, Caroline was an All-State, All-Shore and All-Monmouth County player for Red Bank Catholic. As a scholarship player she was named Rookie of the Year, led the team in hitting and was the team's No.1 pitcher at North Florida. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)

Previous Camp Staff

Jerri Acevedo - A physical education teacher who is the Varsity Softball Coach at Freehold Boro High School. She was a 4 year starter at Montclair State University, the No. 2 Division III team in the country. Jerri was a 2 time college All-American and chosen Division III Catcher of the Year. Amy Hamilton - A certified teacher & Ex-A.C.W. Post Assistant Coach who was an All-American Shortstop in the Northeast Region. Prior to that, Amy attended Bookdale Community College where she was an All-Region player both at shortstop and catcher. She also was an All-County and All-Shore player for Manasquan High School. Pete Farnham - High school coach of various sports for the past 25 years. In that time, his teams have amassed: 14 conference championships and 6 state titles. He has coached the Shore Magic which has competed in the Nationals the last 4 summers.

Natalie Denning - A 4 year starter and 2 time All-County, All-Shore and All-State player at Ocean High School. She graduated from Seton Hall University where she received the Big East Player of the Week Awards. Natalie led the team that was 2nd in the Big East Conference to Notre Dame University and set a single season victory mark. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)

Frank Baldino - Former Softball Coach at Ramsey for the past 12 seasons. His teams have won numerous league, county and state championships. "Butchy" has been named Coach of the Year 2 times and is known for his ability to teach the fundamentals of the game to players of all abilities. (Spring Clinic Instructor)

Elizabeth Manzi - A 3 year starter and All-League player for Red Bank Catholic, she is a Special Ed teacher at Long Branch High School where she is the Assistant Varsity Softball Coach. Liz still plays and is All-Star Class A Women's pitcher. (Spring Clinic Instructor)

Kelly Green - A 3 year starter and All-County player at Ocean High School. Kelly went to Brookdale Community College where she was an All-Region player, Team Captain and led the team in extra base-hits that went to the JUCO World Series. She is the Assistant Varsity Coach at Allentown High School and has coached in the Shore Magic Organization. She has taken teams to the Nationals 5 out of the past 6 summers. Jay Blackwell - Owner of Jersey Shore Baseball Academy and Head Baseball coach at Bloomfield College. Jay coached the "Pilots" to the Atlantic Collegiate Championship in 1997. He has been working in youth sports since 1980. Jay is the Asst. Coach at Rutgers University, 5th season. Coach Blackwell is known for his ability to teach the game to all types of players, from beginners to advanced. (Summer Camp Instructor)

Beth English - An English teacher/Softball Coach at Freehold Township High School who was a 4 year starter at Wall High School who won the 1997 Group III State Championship. She was an All-County, All-Shore and All-State player who graduated from Villanova University. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)

Darci Santella - a 3 year starter and All-League player at St. John Vianney High School where she currentlly holds 6 softball records. Darci was a 2 time All-Monmouth, All-Shore and All-State player. She currently is a scholarship first baseman at Quinnipiac College. (Summer Camp Instructor)

Nicole Siniscalco - a former Asst. Coach at Monmouth University, she graduated from C.W. Post, where she pitched & played first base. As a scholarship player there Nicole was both an All-American pitcher & an Academic All-American. She went to Ocean Township, where she was a two-time All-State, four-time All-Shore & All-County player. In 1993 Nicole pitched Ocean to a Group III State Championship. (Spring Clinic Instructor)

Gerard Nisivoccia - a physical education teacher at Wall Intermediate School. He graduated from Quinnipiac College, where he played shortstop & second base. For the past 3 seasons Gerard has been a baseball coach at Wall High School & a Head Coach in the Garden State Baseball League. He went to Paramus High School, where he was a two-time All-County & All-League player. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)

John DeVincenzo - a Varsity Softball Coach at Freehold Township High School for the past 13 years. He has been coaching at the high school level since 1981 and has been a summer softball coach for the last 8 years. A 26-year veteran fastpitch player, John is well versed in all aspects of the game. In 2000 Coach DeVincenzo led his team to the Group IV State Sectional Finals and joined the "Century Club" by recording his 104th victory as a Head Coach. (Spring Clinic Instructor)

Gary Thomson - Former Varsity Coach at Monsignor Donovan High School, former Varsity Coach at St. John Vianney High School and ex-Head Coach of Team New Jersey. He has coached softball for 14 years, 11 at the high school level and 3 at the college level (Brookdale Community College). At St. John Vianney High School he led his teams to 3 Conference Championships and the 1994 Parochial 'A' South State title. In 1993 Gary started the Shore Magic Softball Organization and has been coaching summer softball for over 11 years. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)

Kevin James - a teacher and coach at Manalapan High School. He has been coaching baseball for 6 years, 3 at the high school level and 3 at the college level (Montclair State University). Kevin graduated from Rutgers University, where he was a 4-year starter, a Team MVP and an All-American. He went to Ramsey High School, where he was a 2-time All-County and All-State player. In 2000 Kevin was honored as a member of the "All-Century Baseball Team" in Bergen County. (Spring Clinic & Summer Camp Instructor)
